Leki Prpa (Wind Lake, Wis.) tallied a hat trick in the game's opening eight minutes, setting the tone for an incredible 90 minutes of offense in a 10-1 victory over visiting William Jewell.
The Rangers honored a trio of seniors prior to the game, including
Abraham Kanneh (Aurora, Ill.),
Nate Kitchell (Weston, Wis.), and Austin Stahira (Tinley Park, Ill.).
After Prpa's early flurry gave the Rangers a 3-0 lead, Stahira tallied his first career goal in the 16th minute, converting a penalty kick.
Williams Jewell notched the scoreboard in the 24th minute, but the Rangers built the lead to 5-1 by halftime thanks to an unassisted 40th minute goal from junior
Joe Elwell (Saint Paul, Minn.).
Freshman
Jorge Garcia (Green Bay, Wis.) scored the first of his two markers for the match in the 59th minute, connecting with a header off a corner kick from Prpa.
Sophomore
Max Matlawski (Rostock, Germany) finished a sequence of strong passes in the 80th minute, scoring from 18 yards out. Garcia and sophomore
Jack Krenzien (Wauwautosa, Wis.) assisted on the play for the Rangers.
Kitchell became the second senior to notch his first career goal in the 82nd minute, being called in from the goal to convert a penalty kick. The keeper blasted his attempt into the upper 90 for an impressive goal.
Sophomore
Burim Husseini (Milwaukee, Wis.) made it 9-1 in the 85th minute, ripping a free kick through the congestion in the box and past the keeper for the goal.
Garcia closed the scoring in the 88th minute, converting on a goal after a nice delivery from Elwell.
The Rangers held a 19-10 edge in shots for the game, converting a staggering 52.6 percent of them for goals.
Parkside will close out its 2017 season on Wednesday, playing at Missouri S&T at 3:30 p.m.
