Bratel was strong throughout for the Rangers, stopping three shots in the opening half and six more after halftime.
Unfortunately for the hosts, UIS found the equalizer in the 83rd minute when Emily Masten scored off a Prairie Stars corner kick.
For the game, UIS held a slight edge in shots at 14-12.
Parkside returns to action on Sunday, traveling to Quincy for a noon start.Â
