Â
The Panthers (16-31, 9-18 GLVC) opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the second before tacking on two more in the fourth for the early 4-0 edge. UW-Parkside came alive in the fifth, closing the gap to a single run with a three-run outburst.
Â
A
Kellie Fenza groundout plated
Alexis Simone for the Rangers' first run before a
Sara Markelonis single up the middle brought in
Cassie Walek and
Madison Manders.
Â
In the seventh,
Samantha Magruder led off the frame with a pinch hit single and advanced to second on a Fenza base knock but back-to-back strikeouts ended the frame as Drury escaped with the one-run victory.
