(Oct. 28, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer team had its five-match unbeaten streak come to a close on Wednesday, suffering a 3-0 setback to Great Lakes Valley Conference nemesis Lewis University to close the 2015 season.

The host Flyers (10-6-2, 8-5-2 GLVC) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net in the eighth minute on a shot courtesy of Greccia Miranda. Lewis doubled its advantage in the 17th minute with a goal from Lauren Grady off a corner kick.

The Flyers added an insurance score in the 57th minute with Lena Trentl scoring on a rebound off the Ranger goalkeeper.

The hosts outshot the Rangers (6-8-3, 5-7-3 GLVC) by a 12-10 margin, including a 11-7 edge in shots on frame.

Sarah Dobrowolski handled the opening 67 minutes in goal for the Rangers, making six saves before making way for
Kayla Tabalske who patrolled the goal line the final 23 minutes and made one stop. Jennifer Meyer and Audrey Person collaborated for the shutout in goal for Lewis, making a combined seven saves.

The loss snapped the Rangers' five game unbeaten run, owning a 3-0-2 mark in the previous five GLVC encounters.

Wednesday's clash was the final game for seniors
Kelly Trojak,
Kaela Hoecherl, and
Vianey Hernandez who combined for 52 victories over the past four seasons.
