INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 15, 2013)-- Neither squad was able to penetrate the goalmouth on Sunday afternoon at Key Stadium as the 18th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer squad and University of Indianapolis settled for a 0-0 double overtime draw in a Great Lakes Valley Conference clash.
The Rangers (3-0-1, 1-0-1 GLVC) owned a 13-3 edge in shots in the opening half and enjoyed a 23-8 advantage at the end of regulation. UW-Parkside accounted for both shots in the overtime sessions and finished the contest with a 17-2 edge in shots on target.
Alex Johnson led the squad with six shots, including four on frame while
Lauren Bialas added three shots on goal.
Mallory Geurts continued her stellar play in net, tallying two saves for her second clean sheet of the season. Her counterpart Megan Fee had a busy day in net, finishing with 17 saves for the host Greyhounds (1-2-1, 0-1-1 GLVC).
The Rangers continue their road swing on Friday, facing Quincy University at 5 p.m.
