ROLLA, Mo. (Oct 27, 2013)-- Two goals in a five-minute window undermined the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's efforts on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-0 to host Missouri University S&T in a Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer clash at the S&T Soccer Field.

The host Miners broke open the shutout in the 22nd minute with David Zdvorak scoring off a redirected corner kick with Kramer Hall earning the assist. S&T doubled its advantage in the 27th minute with Ben Emnett scoring on a breakaway with Ben Bartnicke serving up the assist in what proved to be the final score of the day.

Ranger goalkeeper Marcos Perez finished with three saves on the afternoon while S&T's Matt Jackson secured the clean sheet, turning away seven shots.

The Rangers (7-7-2, 6-7-1 GLVC) close the regular season on Wednesday, squaring off against Lewis University at 7:30 p.m.
