SOMERS, Wis. (Oct. 13, 2013)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer extended its shutout streak to 456 minutes on Sunday, blanking Great Lakes Valley Conference rival Southern Indiana 3-0 at Wood Road Field.

Kaela Hoecherl put the host Rangers (8-2-2, 6-2-2 GLVC) up 1-0 just three minutes into the contest, scoring her team-leading seventh goal of the season off a feed from Stephanie Barsuli. UW-Parkside doubled the buffer in the 15th minute with Emily Konior converting a free kick from 25 yards out.

The Rangers' third goal of the day came in the 82nd minute with substitute Abigail Banks collecting her first career goal with Vianey Hernandez claiming the assist.

UW-P outshot the Screaming Eagles (7-4-1, 5-4-1 GLVC) 21-6 during the contest and held a 13-3 edge in shots on goal. The Rangers haven't allowed a goal in 456 minutes, a streak spanning across five games.

Mallory Guerts collected her fourth consecutive clean sheet and seventh of the season. The freshman keeper turned away three shots on the afternoon while her counterpart Jackie Lohmann logged 10 saves.

The Rangers, unbeaten in their last six games (5-0-1), host William Jewell College on Friday at 1:15 p.m.
