STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Jan. 22, 2013)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside wrestling squad captured the opening 17 points of the match, rolling host University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point 25-13 on Tuesday night inside Berg Gymnasium.

Josh Anthony got things started for the fifth-ranked Rangers (5-4) at the 174-pound weight class, pinning the Pointers' Ryan Conat in 4:26. Matt Gille followed with a 13-3 major decision at 184, victimizing Andy Borchardt while Davion Willis prevailed 13-2 over Craig Brandvold at 197 pounds.

285-pounder James Malechek dumped Matt Cuadra 5-2 while Joseph Her earned the 18-3 victory at 133 pounds. Nick Fishback closed the dual with a 9-2 win at 165 pounds, defeating UWSP's Jordan Schulte. UW-Stevens Point (12-2) entered the match ranked sixth nationally in NCAA Division III.

The Rangers are idle until Feb. 1, returning to the mats for the two-day Pete Willson Invitational hosted by Wheaton College.
