SOMERS, Wis. (Sept. 30, 2012)-- Yielding a pair of goals in a three-minute span, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 setback to McKendree University on Saturday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference clash at Wood Road Field.
The visiting Bearcats (7-3, 5-3 GLVC) opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with Liam Robley finding the back of the net off a feed from Kavel Smith. McKendree enjoyed a 1-0 lead at the break, owning a 6-3 edge in shots.
McKendree doubled its lead in the 68th minute as Dominic Plant chipped the ball in off an assist from Alex Ridsdale while Wilding struck again less than three minutes later off a Joshua Fawsett assist, giving the visitors the three-goal edge.
Collin Monahan got the Rangers (3-6-1, 2-6 GLVC) on the board in the 81st minute, scoring off a free kick taken by
Austin Robb. The Bearcats quickly responded with a Blessing Tupiri goal in the 83rd minute off assists from Wilding and Robley.
The Rangers outshot the Bearcats by a 10-7 margin in the second half as both sides finished the game with 13 shots.

Nick Huftalin had four saves on the day in 90 minutes of work while McKendree's Matt Derrington tallied three saves.
The Rangers return to the pitch on Friday, hitting the road to face Maryville University.
