EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Sept. 21, 2012)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside was unable to keep pace with host University of Southern Indiana on Friday evening, stumbling 3-1 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer match at Strassweg Field.

The Screaming Eagles (4-3, 3-2 GLVC) drew first blood, tallying a score in the 13th minute as Austin Andrekus buried a shot off a feed from Danny Pratte. USI enjoyed the one goal lead at the break, owning a 7-3 edge in shots.

Collin Monahan came off the bench and tallied the equalizer for the Rangers (2-4-1, 1-4 GLVC) in the 59th minute, netting the score off a Christian Stoiber assist. The Eagles broke the deadlock in the 64th minute with Danny Pratte scoring unassisted while Kevin Minor tacked on an insurance goal in the 74th minute off an Andrekus assist.

Southern Indiana concluded the contest with a 19-7 advantage in shots, holding a 12-4 edge in the second 45 minutes of action.

Nick Huftalin recorded three saves in goal for the Rangers while his counterpart Jeffrey Neidlinger tallied five saves to earn the victory.

UW-Parkside returns to the pitch on Sunday, facing Kentucky Wesleyan College at 12 p.m. in Owensboro, Ky.
