Kristin Kleinmeyer (Brookfield, Ill./Riverside) has signed a national letter of intent to play softball at UW-Parkside. Kleinmeyer joins her brother, Jon, who is a pitcher on the Ranger baseball squad.
At Riverside High School, Kleinmeyer was an unblemished 11-0 with a 1.47 earned run average in her senior season on the pitching rubber. A no-hitter was a part of the mix. At the plate, Kleinmeyer torched opposing pitchers with a lofty .424 batting average with the hat trick in home runs and 34 runs batted in.
Honors for Kleinmeyer included an All-Metro Suburban Conference award. She got it done in the classroom as well, with placement on the conference's all-academic team.
UW-Parkside was 30-21 on the softball diamond last season including a 16-12 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
