The UW-Parkside men's golf team was ranked in the top ten of the Midwest Region all season long. Their resume qualified them to compete in the NCAA Midwest/South Super Regional in Duncan, Oklahoma May 3-5.
The top five in each region advance to the national tournament. The Rangers were not one of them, finishing in a tie for 18th out of the 20 competing teams in the two regions combined.
Parkside came up with a total team score of 943, which tied with Dallas Baptist of the South Region. UWP team scores for each round were 300, 322 and 321.
The event took place at The Territory Golf Club and was championed by Central Missouri with a score of 904. Wayne State just one stroke off the pace with a 905.
Justin Yode of Central Missouri was the low man with a 219, which was three over par (golfers played from the championship tees).
Keith Buntrock had the best outing for the Rangers. He fired rounds of 73, 78 and 79 for a 230 score, which tied for 38th overall and was 14 over par.
