The UWP women worked in a pair of meets over the weekend when they competed at the Benedictine Invitational on Friday afternoon. The best performance of that meet was turned in the 4 x 100m Relay Team of Rachel Bullis, Charlotte Smith, Tyeasha Savage, and Brittany Frederick. Their time was 55.35.
Coach Mike De Witt commented on the efforts of his team: "We have worked hard to get our women's team together for full team meets. This weekend we had the opportunity to get that accomplished. Rachel Bullis has been doing a great job with some help from her coaches at Bradford and did an excellent job at Winona. Hope Christie raced aggressive and strong, competing with two of the top DIII 800-meter athletes over the past couple of years in her race."
This weekend, the GLVC Meet will be held at Missouri S&T, in Rolla, Missouri. Friday, May 7, the events begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude on Saturday, May 8, at 6:00 p.m..
