Kirsten Luevano (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) an outfielder/pitcher, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play softball at the UW-Parkside beginning next season.

One of the Lemont softball program's most prolific players, Luevano has enjoyed success both at the plate and in the circle. A two-time All-South Suburban Conference performer, Luevano holds the school's single-season (46) and career (111) records for RBI.

Luevano's is batting .495 (47-95) this year with seven home runs and a school-record 46 RBI and an .874 slugging percentage. As a pitcher, she is 6-4 with a

2.32 ERA in 11 starts.

Luevano will join a Ranger program which was 30-21 this season and made it to the Great Lakes Valley Conference semi-finals before elimination in the post-season tournament. The team finished strong, winning 10 out of its last 14 games.
