It was all Indianapolis at Greyhound Park in a Friday-Saturday four-game baseball series against the Rangers. The homestanding Greyhounds handled the Rangers in both ends of Friday's doubleheader, 13-3 and 13-1. Saturday saw the 'Hounds taking two by scores of 10-4 and 18-5.

In Friday's first game, Alex Zarek took the pitching loss. Jack Olsen fell victim to the 'Hounds in Game Two.

The Rangers had just three hits in each game. Dave Watson collected a knock in each game.

The Greyhounds put a four on the board in both the first and second innings en route to victory. Chris Wolcott took the loss; however, only four of the nine runs in his five innings on the hill were earned. John Hasser had a pair of hits for Parkside.

In the fourth and final game of the series, Josh Hudnut took the pitching loss. Six of the 12 runs scored in his inning-and-two-thirds were earned. Three relievers finished up including Mike Bjerke, who hurled a scoreless inning.

The Rangers were out-hit, 22-9. Watson, Tyler Gieseking, Kirk Haviland and Branndyn Mullikin each collected two hits.

The Rangers are 12-35 overall and 6-22 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Indy jumped to 31-15 overall and 18-8 in league play.

Parkside will host a non-conference single game against Edgewood Wednesday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m.
