There wasn't enough light in the day to finish the Great Lakes Valley Conference openers in Rolla, Missouri, Saturday afternoon. The UW-Parkside baseball team took on homestanding Missouri S&T in a twin bill.
The first game was a 3-hour-plus marathon, won by the Miners, 21-11. The second game was suspended after five innings with S&T up, 5-4. The game was completed Monday afternoon, starting when the Rangers were on their way home on I-44 after taking on Drury Sunday afternoon in a doubleheader. The suspended game ended with the Miners plating six in the home half of the sixth inning and winning 11-5.
Tyler Nehls was 3-4 with two runs scored and John Hasser was 3-4 at the plate in the two-day game.

Next up for the team is a four-game set at Saint Joseph's. The games were moved up a day due to a threatening weekend
