The Ranger men's basketball team could not get over the hump at Lewis. Trailing by double digits, the team knocked the lead down to five pointsin two different instances, only to see the Flyers pull away.
Lewis scored a 64-53 win in the Neil Carey Arena Saturday night.
Lewis is now 14-9 overall and 6-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UW-Parkside is 8-15, 3-11.
Kevin Senechalle had a solid game for the Rangers. The freshman scored 15 points, pulled down five rebounds, had two assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
Each team shot poorly. The Flyers made good on 41 percent of their shots and the Rangers were held to 36 percent.
The Flyers led, 36-28, at halftime.
The rematch is only five days away. The Rangers can get revenge in the DeSimone Gymnasium Thursday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m.
