Rangers fall to Drury

The UW-Parkside men's soccer team dropped a tough 2-0 decision to hosts Drury on Friday night in Springfield, Missouri. The loss drops the Rangers overall record to 7-7-2 and 4-7-2 in the GLVC. The win improves Drury's record to 9-6 overall and 8-5 in the GLVC.

The visiting Rangers kept the game close in the first half despite being out shot by the Panthers . Neither team could score in the first half as the Rangers and Panthers continued their physical play.

Drury proved to be too much in the second half as Danny Collins found the net twice. He scored at 49:54 and 73:00 to end any chance of a Ranger victory.

The physical game consisted of 18 fouls by Parkside and 13 fouls by Drury. Drury also had a 6-5 edge in corner kicks. Four Yellow cards and two red cards were issued in the game as well.

The Rangers will conclude the regular season with a visit to Rockhurst on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 2:30 start.
