Natalie Brown assisted on the first goal

Box Score

Three different players scored for the Rangers in UW-Parkside's 3-1 women's soccer win at Missouri-St. Louis Sunday afternoon. The win propelled the visitors to a 4-0-1 overall record and an unblemished 3-0-0 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conferece.

The host Tritons slipped to 1-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the GLVC.

The Rangers wasted little time in getting on the board. Meredith Novak found the back of the net for the fourth time this season, just 1:24 into the contest. She tallied from 20 yards out at the top of the box. Assists went to Shannon Becker and Natalie Brown.

UMSL evened the score at 17:38 off of a rebound.

Parkside put in another prior to intermission when Brynn Darga scored her first collegiate goal. She scored on a free kick from 40 yards out which sailed over the goalkeeper's head.

The Rangers added an insurance goal at 50:22. Becker scored her team-leading fifth goal with help from Becky Zirlin.

UW-Parkside put 11 shots on goal compared to six for the Tritons. Cassie Glodowski was the winning netminder.

The 16th-ranked Rangers look to keep their unbeaten string in order when they host Southern Indiana Friday, Sept. 18, at 1:15 p.m.
