Rangers fall in quarterfinals

The UW-Parkside women's basketball team fell to Missour S&T, 74-56 in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament held in Quinvy, Illinois, late Friday night.

The Rangers were 0-14 from behind the three-point arc, but were 16-16 from the free throw line.

UW-Parkside trailed the Miners, 50-37 with 10:44 to go. Then, the Rangers charged back to cut the score to 52-48. The 13-point deficit was back in tact just 2 minutes later.

Brittany Hogen had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Rangers. UW-Parkside is 18-10 overall. Missouri S&T is 16-12.

Brittany Beyer tallied 16 points to go with 8 rebounds for UW-Parkside.
