Rick Kilps Center
The Rick Kilps Center is a 6,300-square-foot indoor turf facility that offers a state-of-the-art practice field for the Ranger men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and softball teams in addition to serving Parkside staff, students, and the community.
Â
The Rick Kilps Center is named after Parkside’s all-time winningest coach in any sport. Kilps compiled a 363-137-40 record in 27 seasons with the Rangers. The 1975 Parkside graduate put together 26 consecutive winning seasons behind the performance of 37 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Americans. Kilps had 113 players named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Academic team, five GLVC Academic All-Americans, and three GLVC All-Academic Player of the Year recipients.
Â
Formerly the aquatics center, the Rick Kilps Center was completed on September 25, 2021 and cost 1.8 million dollars.
Â
The state-of-the-art Rick Kilps Center was an immediate game changer for Parkside Athletics, providing a first-class practice facility for men's soccer, women's soccer, baseball, and softball. These student-athletes – who regularly feel the adverse effects of the Wisconsin winters and have previously been routinely forced off campus for indoor practices now have a training center just steps from their locker rooms.
