Gonzalo Gonzalez Jr.

Gonzalez joined the UW-Parkside baseball program as an assistant in the fall of 2014. Working primarily with the pitching staff, he played a key role in three pitchers earning invitations to play in the Northwoods League during the summer of 2015.

Gonzalez played two seasons at Division II Pittsburg State University in Kansas after two previous seasons at Southwestern Oregon Community College. After graduation, he played professionally in Mexico for the Marineros De Ensenada.

Orginally from Oceanside, California, Gonzalez was an All-League selection while attending El Camino High School. A first generation Mexican-American Gonzalez played under Ranger Head Coach Daniel Esposito at both SWOCC and Pitt State. 

Gonzalez graduated from Pittsburg State with a bachelor's degree in physical education and is currently working towards his masters degree from Pitt State in human, health, wellness and performance with an emphasis in biomechanics. Gonzalez was named the physcial education Major of the Year and the A.A.H.P.E.R.D. Major of the Year in 2014.
