Ryan Windt begins his second season as an assistant coach with the Rangers in 2013-2014, serving as the team's pitching coach.
Windt served as the head coach for the Hitters Baseball U15 Navy Team in 2013 while also coaching the Lakeside Legends in the fall of 2013. Additionally, Windt will serve as a head coach in the debut season of the Silver Sluggers Collegiate League in the summer of 2014.
A 2013 UW-Parkside graduate, the righthander was the GLVC Pitcher of the Week on April 11, 2011, after tossing a complete game shutout against the University of Indianapolis. Windt finished his senior season in 2012 with three complete games while leading the team in strikeouts and finishing second on the squad in appearances and innings pitched. Prior to UW-Parkside, Windt played baseball in the junior college ranks at South Suburban College in South Holland, Ill.
Windt had a stellar high school career at Richards High School in Oak Lawn, Ill., earning All-Conference accolades in both baseball and football. he set a school record for single-season and career appearances on the mound and was a member of Team America in the summer of 2008 in the team's tour of Japan.
Windt additionally assists with gameday management of Ranger home soccer and basketball games.
Windt graduated from UW-Parkside in the spring of 2013 with a degree in sport management.
