Rooney  joins the Ranger staff in 2013-2014 after a successful debut season playing professional basketball in the Big V League in Australia. Rooney played for the Ringwood Hawks were she led the league in scoring, averaging 18.5 points per game while finishing second in the league in three-pointers made.

The three-time All-GLVC selection finished her UW-Parkside career third in program history in scoring (1,685 points), field goals (617) and three-pointers (248) while becoming the first Division II Honorable Mention All-American in school history.
