Evan Lewandowski placed second among a field of 106 competitors on Sept. 13, helping the Rangers win the season-opening Midwest Open at the Dannehl National Cross Country Course. The senior traversed the 8,000-meter layout in 25 minutes, 17.7 seconds, finishing just over a second shy of winning the race.Â
Lewandowski's efforts helped UW-Parkside win the race, scoring 28 points at the eight team event, outdistancing runner-up and Division I UW-Milwaukee by a 23-point margin.
