The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its Wrestler of the Week award on Jan. 19 with University of Wisconsin-Parkside 184-pounder Montrail Johnson landing the honor for his performance at Saturday's Ranger Duals.
 
Johnson, ranked seventh nationally in his weight class, tallied a trio of victories at the Ranger Duals inside Petretti Fieldhouse, helping the sixth-ranked Rangers collect a pair of dual meet wins at the expense of nationally-ranked foes. The sport management major opened the day by pinning Tiffin University's Jared Chambers in three minutes and 48 seconds, helping the Green and While down the 12th-ranked Dragons 28-15.
 
The Sharpsville, Indiana native defeated Saint Cloud State University's Uthman Rabiu 6-2, the fifth ranked 184-pounder in Super Region III, before closing the afternoon with a 14-5 major decision win over Randy Caris of the University of Findlay in the Rangers' 27-13 win over the 14th-ranked Roughnecks.
