Armando Torres claimed All-American accolades on Nov. 21, helping the 12th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's cross country team to an eighth place finish at its first ever trip to the NCAA Division II Championships.
 
Torres was the first Ranger across the finish line, touring the 10,000-meter course at Missouri Southern State University's Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in 30 minutes, 24.7 seconds to place 31st overall.

UW-Parkside racked up 312 points in the team standings, securing eighth place in the squad's first ever NCAA Championship appearance. The Runnin' Rangers were 13 points shy of seventh place finisher Augustana College (259 points) while owning a 12-point buffer on ninth place California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
