SOMERS, Wis.. (Jan. 13, 2014)-- The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon with University of Wisconsin-Parkside forward Zygimantas Riauka earning Men's Basketball Player of the Week Accolades. The junior claims the honor after posting a pair of double doubles, helping the Rangers claim a pair of road wins to remain undefeated in GLVC play.

The business management major finished the week averaging 25.5 points per game, 10.5 rebounds per game and 5.0 assists per game. Against the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, Riauka poured on a career-high 28 points, shooting 10-for-13 from the field while grabbing 10 revounds and dishing out five assists as UW-Parkside (11-2, 4-0 GLVC) handed the host Tritons their first setback of the conference season, prevailing 89-76.

Two days later against Maryville, the junior forward tallied 23 points while grabbing 11 rebounds, leading the Rangers in both categories as the squad steamrolled the Saints 84-63. The game was Riauka's sixth straight double-double and his seventh of the 2013-2014 campaign.

Riauka concluded the week shooting 77.3 percent (17-for-22) from the floor with 10 assists and three blocks.

Through four conference games, Riauka ranks second in both rebounding and blocks while sitting third in scoring. He averages 17.1 ppg and 9.2 rpg on the season, while averaging 20.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg in GLVC action.

Riauka is the second Ranger to claim GLVC Player of the Week accolades this season, joining Jordan Mach who claimed the first award of the season on Nov. 11 after a stellar performance at the season-opening Don Callan Classic at Cedarville University.

UW-Parkside returns to the court on Thursday night, taking on host University of Illinois Springfield at 7:30 p.m.
